A rare natural environment
La Vancelle is a small Alsatian middle mountain village nestled on the southern side of an arc-shaped massif that culminates at some 855 metres. Only a wise eye can guess it from the valley.
Hidden in a setting of magnificent forests, it is a haven of peace and nature. And yet, it is easy to access and ideally located, far from the crowd but only a few minutes from the wine route, wine villages and major tourist attractions such as the Aigles fly, the Monkey Mountain and the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg.

The Mountain Hiker is a large apartment with a lot of charm and romance. It occupies the entire first floor of our main residence, a large architect’s house from 1929, completely restored and hidden in a large garden.
It is a very comfortable apartment for 2/3 people furnished with ecological and natural materials. It is on the first floor, facing south with a view of the Château du Haut Koenigsbourg. Charm, elegance and calm in any season.

Sous les fenêtres du salon et de la salle à manger, un panorama spectaculaire change avec les saisons. Parfois étincelant en hiver, vert tendre au printemps, couvert de dorures à l’automne. Les amoureux de la nature seront aux premières loges.
Keep an eye out! The birds in the garden are numerous and the squirrel makes cabrioles there…
Our garden and its old orchard are part of a preserved natural space. There are many birds: tits of all kinds, blackbirds, but also the green woodpecker, woodpecker and woodpecker, the sitelle, the the jeag and many others. Squirrels regularly come to have fun in our trees. On summer nights, the houl of the owl resonates in the immensity of the forest. In the autumn, the deer’s bram is heard in the mountain…

Large quiet bedroom for a restful sleep…
The bedroom offers a large king size bed of 180 x 200 cm. It is oriented towards the back of the house. The window overlooks the old orchard and the mountain. Calm reigns there, ideal for recovering from long hikes or rejuvenating yourself from a noisy and stressful city life that you want to forget during the holidays.

Under the windows of the kitchen hides the garden with a large natural area and a little wild. And an old cottage that served as a barn, with lots of nest boxes. Lovers of nature and birds will be in the front row.
